Thunderstorms Rule

Hello all! If you’re in Alabama, I hope you’re enjoyin’ this incredible thunderstorm. We were just downgraded from a tornado warning to a sever thunderstorm watch, but I can definitely say that the lightning is not the least bit tamed. As of right now, me and the wife have all the lights off (by choice), candles lit, and blinds open so the lightning can infiltrate the living room, and sipping on a nice cup o’ joe. I really missed my southern thunderstorms, and I’m getting what I love tonight. Me and Lindsay actually just got back in from standing out on the porch. We had to come in, however, because the wind started blowing the rain into our face.

Tomorrow I’m looking forward to a magnificent day. The Bailey’s invited us over for a wonderful cookout, and then after some good socializing, we’re gonna go to Hunter Street’s Praise 150 concert. It’s a worship service they do once every fall and spring, and the one time I went, it was spectacular. So needless to say, I’m looking forward to that tomorrow.

Lindsay and I just got done watching the movie Get Low. It was a very different movie. It was a little slower at times than I want, but I was kinda thinking about that during the movie and came to the conclusion that I believe that’s a fault of the mindset of my generation. Patience most of the time isn’t an option. Think about the last time you sat at a traffic light. How long did it take before you said, “Ok, this is ridiculous!” Was it 30 or was it 40 seconds? So to have something either develop slowly or to have something not work toward a major plot twist or massive fight scene, is hard to keep my mind occupied. After I got over that, I felt like I was enjoying the movie a lot more.

Lastly, if you haven’t checked out my worship blog, anthemsong.wordpress.com, please do. It’s a passion of mine to see God show himself through many different aspects of his creation, and I feel like you would get a lot out of it to.
