New Paths

God is doing some work in my and Lindsay’s life.

Yesterday I was sent the dreaded email that has been sent 2 times before. It’s the 60-day notice meeting invitation. I was brought into a room of 75 other loan owners and we were told how special we were and how the site wouldn’t be what it is today without us, but unfortunately, staffing has to meet with demand for our product in a similar manner, so they cut us. We all knew what was happening when we went into the room, because as I said, it had happened twice before with even larger groups of people. To give you perspective, when I was hired last July, shortly after that we reached over 500 people in the 3-Step Express Refinance System in Birmingham. After this last cut, they will have just over 70 total employees in the Birmingham site for the 3-Step. That includes managers from upper to lower, all administration, and all loan owners.

To say all of this is not to make you feel sorry for me or anything. To be honest, you should be just as happy as I am that God is telling me he doesn’t want me there anymore. I mean, yeah, he’s got me in his hands. But saying that this is unfortunate but I know God will take care of me seems a little contradictory. This isn’t unfortunate. This is God clearly moving in my life and I’m ready to go where he wants me next. Worried I’m definitely not, because this is the same God that gave me and Lindsay jobs in the same week in the same city just after getting back from our honeymoon. He knows what he’s doing, and I know what I need to be doing.
